"These guys are my As Saiqa Drop Troops.  These guys are blue moon miniatures orion republic heavy infantry, though I arabized the leader a bit with some a mop of black curly hair.  They're the spearhead for my Neo-Caliphate troops (Khurasan space arabs!), which I'd show here too if I could enter more than one." "A pack of blooded hunters led by Nta'Mek-Ta (The Silent Stalker in Yautja language). These figures are part of a larger Aliens Vs Predator project which wil eventually will have the Corporation, Marines,  Aliens and of course the Predators which will probably have a few more hunter packs.

Miniatures are all Khurasan apart from the Yautja hunting falcon which I sculpted myself. Didn't get the ship finished in time but it will do as background for the pics."

"This is a Fallout-inspired building constructed from foamcore and cardboard plus a few extra items from my bits box.  The mesh windows should help in keeping out zombies or radioactive mutants..."

Ion Age's New Tracked Bike



The folks at The Ion Age have released their really cool new light vehicle, the Khamel. Not just a vehicle this is a true miniatures set featuring a mounted and dismounted version of bike and rider. A must-have for any Muster player or player looking for a lovely vehicle for their rough and tumble future settings.

This figure goes away at the end of February and will not be available again, even when his Xin brethren make their appearance later in 2014.

I've only learned about the competition yesterday (cause despite browsing the blog regularily I managed to miss the announcement) so it's more of a speed-painting entry than anything else, but hey, no harm in trying!  So anyway, below is the "Kings in Yellow", a troop of the 44th CentEuropean light dragoons, equipped with light power armor."

Welcome to the 509th Hard Suit (HS) Battalion, Echo Company. 

Humpties, Dumpties, Eggheads, - Forget the insults,  You are now part of Hard Suits family.  The 509th HS Brigade, Echo CO first formed in 2059AL in support of OP Melted Popsicle, Pluto.  It later saw action and received multiple commendations  in over 50 missions in the revolt of the Exxon Infected on Titan.  E Co has provided security for the Pan-Olympic games on Mars in 64'.  Currently it is working to bring democracy to the splintered tribes in the heart of Omega 3.
  
Echo Company currently has 6, PIP-4000A4 Minx Class hardsuits, 16 Explosive Detection Working Dogs, and 33 Soldiers.  We are a combined arms unit mixing Infantry and Hard Suits.  In addition, given the insurgency's reliance on IED's we have the distinction of being the first 509th company to have Working dogs, Bomb Disposal, and Ballistic Cover/Entry Personnel.    
Please report to CW2 Eastbrook, 1st platoon HS OP for billeting issues before reporting.

"The setting is the northern hemisphere of a planet on the huge island (think Greenland) of Agineus. It is the cold season so the paint scheme of the models reflects this. The is the setting for a civil war, on one side there is the NSL the lawful leaders, on the other side are the rebels aided by the "Blackdeath" a merc unit hired for the job. The civil war is being fought due to escalations brought about by disagreements in the local elections, a common enough occurence where humans are present. Agineus is divided into the North sector, the South & Agineus Prime the middle most industrialised part of the island."

The judges ended up being two instead of three, but still managed to pick out the three very best out of each category! Not an easy feat, mind you, given the many wonderful entries! Many thanks to David "Dwartist" Woods and Steve Dean for accepting this daunting responsibility!

Without further delay: the third best entry in the Squad Leader category: SpacePrawn and his Omnisec Patrol!



I am awfully sorry: I mixed up two entries, the third place in the Vehicle Commander category is actually  Dave Pauwels, from Gasmask Journal and his Minotaur Class Super Heavy Grav Tank.



 And in the Combat Engineer category: Asgon and its Gothic Ruins!
